I’ve been dying to show you this post! The reason is that this Fall collection contains two of my favorite polishes for this time of year, and my new favorite red nail polish! If you only buy ONE polish (it’s a crazy concept I know, but bare with me) in 2015 it needs to be Respect from the Deborah Lippmann – Roar Fall Collection.
Deborah Lippmann – Can’t Be Tamed
Can’t Be Tamed is a holographic micro glitter polish with mostly vintage gold glitters, but also some blue, red and green ones. It has a jelly base and I used mine over Miss Independent, and I think you need a base under this because it’s quite sheer. I didn’t really like this on it’s own, but when I used it on my pinky only and a dark purple polish on the rest of my nails, it was really gorgeous. I used three coats over Miss Independent and one coat of top coat.
Deborah Lippmann – Miss Independent
YES! Miss Independent is one of my two favorite polishes this fall! The finish and color is gooooorgeous! It’s a deep and dark purple, and the color is absolutely lickable! The formula was excellent and the polishes is really pigmented. I could get away with just one coat, but I always prefer two, and with a coat of top coat my nails looked AMAZING!
Deborah Lippmann – Respect
YOU NEED THIS POLISH! Respect is my favorite polish of 2015! These pictures don’t do it justice, but Respect is a deep red polish, it has a orange hue that makes it look a little “dirty” and the result is gorgeous! When I first saw it in the bottle I was sure I was going to hate it. It looked orange and I was not impressed. But after I put it on it was much darker and more red than it looked, and I completely fell in love. My female colleagues has already bought it, because they too fell in love with it! I used two thin coats with top coat, and the manicure lasted a week before I had to take it off to swatch another collection.
Deborah Lippmann – She Wolf
Hmm. Not impressed with this one. She Wolf is a taupe grey creme polish and I think I might have gotten a bad batch, because the formula of this one did not live up to the Deborah Lippmann standard. I needed three coats, and I finished it off with one coat of top coat.
That’s it! Have you tried any of them? I can’t stress it enough, but Respect is GORGEOUS!
*The nail polishes in this post were sent to me for free by the company or their PR firm in exchange for my honest review.
