Sorry I’ve been MIA for a couple of weeks, but I’ve been on vacation, and my poor nails have suffered an allergic reaction which I’ll talk more about later. I’m a part of a Norwegian Facebook group about all things nails called “Norske Negler” (you have to speak Norwegian, Sweedish or Danish to be a member), and every month there is a nail art contest with different themes. For the month of July the theme was “Summer” and I created a hibiscus and pineapple design. However I wasn’t happy with the hibiscus, so I removed them and did a pineapple only design as my contribution (I replaced the flowers with green polish). I was inspired by the incredibly talented ChelseaQueen.com for this look. There were a lot of great contributions in the contest and I came in second, so that was really fun!
Pinapple and hibiscus nails I was recently introduced to a new brand who was generous enough to give me a large collection of their polishes. It was a new brand for me, but they’ve been around for a long time and although it was started in the USA, the company and the products moved and are manufactured in Europa today. They sent me their Rio Rio collection, a collection full of vibrant colors, and I chose some of them to create these looks. Pineapple Nails with Kinetics Nail PolishThe polishes from Kinetics were easy to work with, the ones I tried were rich cremes that worked wonderful for nail art!
